Design by the renowned Oaxacan artisan Abigail Mendoza; woven of cotton threads of different colors of natural ink. Made in the waist net in the warp carved technique. In which all the teleras are composed of a weft and a warp; allows the movement of several threads simultaneously on the base of the loom, in order to create the design of MYLA dog collars.
The warp carving technique is an elaborate Oaxacan cultural tradition practiced by the population of the Zapotec region. The designs represent different aspects of local beliefs, among these, spiritual beliefs or typical ceremonies of the region.
